Process excellence

The fischer group of companies (Waldachtal) has come top in the prestigious and toughest industrial benchmark competition and has again won an important award for its highly efficient processes and its lean production. The plant for chemical products in Denzlingen (Baden) is the winner of the 2008 “Factory of the Year / German GEO Award”. CEO Klaus Fischer sees the award as confirmation that “we are on the right track” and as an “incentive to keep on improving”.

Waldachtal/Ivanovice, 22 September 2008 – The fischer group of companies has substantially enlarged its production capacity in Eastern Europe. On Monday, CEO Klaus Fischer inaugurated the new 3.5 million Euro extension building at fischer’s Ivanovice site.

Fire protection with mesh holder

With its new spacer (mesh holder), the fischer group of companies of Waldachtal developed a unique system for fixing stainless steel reinforcement matting to the inside walls of tunnels. This innovative product is used for the first time in fire protection in the Gotthard base tunnel.

After the best year in the company’s history, the fischer group of companies has also made an excellent and positive start to the 2008 jubilee year. In spite of potential economic risks, CEO Professor E. h. Klaus Fischer (57) still sees plenty of opportunities to drive the continued growth of his business. “We still have a lot of potential by making better use of our markets and of our sales channels, by investing in new products and innovative, new systems which will give us the edge over our competitors”, said Klaus Fischer during a press conference at Tumlingen.
